If you are a resident of a US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising. This page tells you how, in three ways, and you only need to use one.
First, what actually happens on this site
We want to be precise rather than reassuring, because the legal words here do not mean what they sound like.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Nobody pays us for your data, and we do not have a list of visitors to sell.
However, we do serve advertising through Google AdSense, and advertising cookies may be used to show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Under California’s CCPA and CPRA and several other state laws, that activity can itself count as “sharing” personal information, or as targeted advertising, even when no money changes hands.
So rather than argue about the definition, we simply give you the opt-out.
How to opt out
Option 1: use the cookie settings link
The fastest route. Open the cookie settings link in the footer of any page and turn off advertising cookies. Your choice is stored on your device and applies immediately.
Option 2: turn on Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out request from the sale or sharing of your personal information and from targeted advertising. You do not need to do anything else, and you do not need to repeat it on every visit.
GPC is built into some browsers and available as an extension for others. You can find out how to enable it at globalprivacycontrol.org.
We apply GPC to all visitors, not only those in states that require it.
Option 3: write to us
Email admin@mobilehomehandbook.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Tell us which state you are a resident of. We will process the request and confirm by reply.
We may ask one question to verify the request came from you. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Your other rights
Depending on your state, you may also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Twenty US states currently have comprehensive consumer privacy laws in force: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington.

If you are making a request on someone else’s behalf, send written proof that you are authorized to act for them, along with the request, to admin@mobilehomehandbook.com.
What happens after you opt out
You will still see advertising. The site is free and advertising is how it stays that way. The ads will be non-personalized: chosen by the page you are reading rather than by your browsing history.
Nothing else about the site changes. No content is withheld, nothing is slower, and you are not asked again on every page.
