We read every message. This is a one-person site, so replies take a few days rather than a few minutes, but they do come.
What to write about
Corrections. This is the most useful email you can send us. Manufactured housing is full of specifications that changed year to year, and if a guide has a number wrong we want to fix it rather than leave it up. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, where the right information comes from. Substantive corrections are made to the article and noted at the bottom with the date.
Guide requests. If you searched for something about your home and could not find a straight answer anywhere, tell us. That is exactly how we decide what to write next.
Questions about your own home. We will help where we can, but please read this first: we cannot diagnose your home by email. We do not know your year, model, wind zone or what the previous owner did to it. For anything involving gas, electrical systems, structural members or anchoring, the honest answer is always going to be “get a licensed installer to look at it,” so save yourself the wait and call one.
Privacy requests. Access, deletion, correction, or opting out of targeted advertising. Put “Privacy request” in the subject line and tell us which state or country you are in. See our Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Press and research. Happy to help. Tell us what you are working on.
What not to write about
Guest post offers, link exchanges and “we noticed a broken link on your site.” These go straight to the trash unread, so do not spend the effort.
